Euro Systems® is currently hiring a Façade Structural Engineer with a strong background in Façade Glazing, Aluminium and Structural steel. Candidate should be based in Dubai.

Candidate must have the following/ Roles & Responsibilities:   

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree with either Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• More than 7 years of extensive facade experience on façade/curtain wall/Metal Structures design and coordination engineering mostly projects within the Gulf region.
• Shall be an Expert in tools like STAAD/Sap2000/RFEM for frames and SJ Mepla for Glass design.
• To be a user of simulation software such as Solid works/Ansys/ABAQUS/ Wind, SAFLEX for design.
• Have working knowledge of BIM tools like Sketch Up/Revit.
• Understanding of semi unitized system, vestibules and point/spider glazing system.
• Capability of producing Manual calculations using MATHCAD/Spreadsheets.
• In-depth knowledge in American, British and EN Standards and codes relevant to façade engineering/Installation and manufacturing techniques.
• The ability to produce thermal calculations for the systems as and when required.
• To be experienced in all steel, aluminium and glass items like curtain wall, cladding, skylight, canopy, handrails etc. in multi-storey buildings and towers
• To manage and provide detail calculation and solution, design concept and installation, and test methodology for different systems.
• To prepare structural proposals for curtain walls, skylights, domes, Metal Canopies, balustrades, handrails as well as frameless doors.
• To prepare Structural Calculations for varies types of curtain walls such as Stick and Unitized system, point fixed cable system, glass fin as well as frameless curtain walls.
• To coordinate with project manager & site during Installation and clear the issues raised by the Erection Team.
• Knowledge in various types of glass in window applications.
• To obtain structural approvals from the consultant. 

• Working knowledge BS 8118, ASTM E1300, AS 1288, CWCT, Eurocode 9, BS6399, BS6180, ADM, AAMA, IBC, MBMA among others.
• Expertise in structural steel/connections as per BS 5950 and AISC LRFD.
• Proven track record in the design and execution of various Façade systems.
• To be Competent in European Technical Approval Guidelines (ETAG) for Anchor approval status.
• To provide technical advice and direction to both external customers and internal engineering functions.
• Good communication skills with other disciplines at the design stage and at the construction site.
• To do the Review of project specification, Ensure design and execution in-line with the IFC.
• Valid UAE driving license

Education Qualifications
- Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
  Or/
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering
